01

Processing of reports

Processing a report inevitably also involves processing the whistleblower’s personal data and the data contained in the report. However, the rules laid down by generally binding legal regulations on the protection of personal data will always be observed when processing reports.

Further details on the processing of their personal data are available to whistleblowers in the document Information on the processing of personal data ↓ available for download. Nevertheless, we recommend that the whistleblower consider which information is important for describing the conduct in the report and which may be superfluous for investigating the reported conduct, and not include the latter in the report.

All reports are further processed in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act. Access to reports is granted to the Competent Person only.

02

Nature of reports

A person making a report should reasonably believe that it is based on true information.

A person who makes a knowingly false report, is not protected against retaliation under the Whistleblower Protection Act; on the contrary, such conduct may constitute, for example, a misdemeanour.
